Webinar | The ENERGYCoP Platform: Ensuring coordination among humanitarian actors in the energy sector

The new global platform for humanitarians engaged in providing Safe Access to Fuel and Energy to crisis-affected populations was launched on Thursday, November 9th through a webinar organized within the SETfood project and hosted by the SAFE Humanitarian Working Group.

The webinar presented the new global and not-for-profit community of practice aimed to serve humanitarian professionals working in the energy sector. Maximizing impacts in humanitarian field interventions requires integrating the perspectives of many different sectors. Open resources and collaboration tools are essential to this effort. They ensure proper coordination among the key stakeholders engaged in providing safe access to fuel and energy (SAFE) to crisis-affected populations. ENERGYCop is designed to be an interactive space with an open-knowledge approach that enables practitioners to search for and share projects, technologies, tools, and resources specifically related to energy access in humanitarian settings, as well as ask for advice and contribute to online discussions.
